Salon started life as a pop up above a cheese shop in Brixton’s Market Row. Our food is guided by the seasons, and our menu changes from week to week and month to month, depending on what produce we have available to us. We use lots of UK produce, and work with local suppliers to ensure we always source the very best ingredients we can get our hands on.
Over the past four and half years or so, we have grown organically, gradually growing from a pop up, to a semi permament venture, to a fully functioning restaurant. In august 2016, we installed a bar area on the ground floor, where we serve a range of cocktails, natural organic and biodynamic wines, as well as craft beers and artisanal spirits.
We’re guided by the seasons and are led by which vegetables, fruits, meat and fish are at their best at that moment.
In the evenings, we serve an ever evolving set menu, of four or seven courses – like a tasting menu, but without the fuss and pomp. Our dishes are primarily plant based, but also include meat and fish too.
We also have a bar menu of snacks and sharing dishes, some larger and some smaller which are a perfectly accompaniment to drinks, but also perfect for a more casual meal. Please note we don’t take reservations for the bar, but you’re welcome to come and along and we’ll find you a seat.
